Temperatures Surging to Mid 70s With Wall to Wall Sunshine Blanketing Arkansas Thursday as Winds Stay Below 15 MPH From Texarkana to Jonesboro

ARKANSAS — A pleasant and warmer Thursday is in store for Arkansas, with temperatures climbing noticeably higher compared to Wednesday as plenty of sunshine spreads across the state. High temperatures on Thursday will range from the upper 60s in northern communities up to the mid 70s across southern Arkansas, with wind speeds remaining manageable at less than 12 to 15 mph for most of the state throughout the day.

Temperature Breakdown Across Arkansas

Thursday’s high temperature map from the Arkansas Weather Network shows a clear warming trend from north to south across the state. Northern Arkansas communities including Harrison and Mountain Home will top out at 69 degrees, while Fayetteville reaches 68 and Jonesboro also hits 68 degrees on the eastern side of the state.

Central Arkansas sees temperatures climbing into the low 70s, with Little Rock reaching 70 degrees, Russellville and Clinton both hitting 72, and Hot Springs also reaching 72 degrees. Searcy comes in at 71 and Batesville reaches 70 degrees across the central corridor.

Southern Arkansas will be the warmest portion of the state on Thursday, with De Queen hitting 74, El Dorado reaching 74, Camden climbing to 73, Texarkana also at 73, and Monticello and Lake Village both reaching 72 degrees. These southern communities will feel the most summer-like conditions of any area in Arkansas on Thursday.

Sunshine and High Clouds

Despite the pleasant warmup, high clouds will be present for some areas across Arkansas on Thursday. However, meteorologists confirmed there should be plenty of sun to go around across the state even with those elevated clouds present, making for a largely bright and enjoyable Thursday for residents statewide.

The combination of sunshine, warmer temperatures, and light winds creates ideal conditions for outdoor activities across Arkansas on Thursday before any pattern changes develop later in the week.
