Thieves Use Stolen Dallas SUV to Rip ATM From North Texas 7-Eleven in White Settlement During Early Christmas Eve Heist

WHITE SETTLEMENT, TEXAS — Police say thieves used a stolen SUV from Dallas to violently rip an ATM out of a 7-Eleven in White Settlement during the early morning hours of Christmas Eve, leaving the North Texas convenience store heavily damaged.

Investigators believe the vehicle used in the attempted robbery may also be connected to other similar ATM thefts in the region.

Early Morning Break-In

According to authorities, the suspects drove a stolen SUV into position and used it to forcibly tear the ATM from inside the store. Surveillance footage from inside the 7-Eleven shows shelves shaking and merchandise shifting as the machine was ripped from its mount.

The force of the attempt left the store interior torn apart, with debris scattered across the floor and visible structural damage near the ATM location.

Police have described the incident as a failed ATM robbery, though the exact amount of money — if any — taken has not been publicly confirmed.

Stolen Dallas SUV at Center of Investigation

Investigators say the SUV used in the crime had been stolen out of Dallas prior to the incident. Law enforcement officials are now examining whether the same vehicle was used in other ATM-related thefts across North Texas.

ATM “smash-and-grab” style robberies involving stolen vehicles have become a growing concern in parts of Texas, with suspects often using chains or straps to yank machines from store fronts before fleeing.

Authorities are working to determine how many individuals were involved and whether the suspects are part of a larger organized theft ring.

Ongoing Search for Suspects

As of now, no arrests have been announced in connection with the White Settlement incident. Police are reviewing surveillance video and asking for tips from the public.

The brazen nature of the crime — carried out in the early hours of Christmas Eve — has raised concerns among local business owners about property damage and escalating theft tactics.

Officials continue to investigate possible links to other ATM robberies in the area.
