This old fashioned peanut butter cookies recipe is so simple and easy to prepare, but probably one of the best grandma dessert recipes. Crispy, dense, and very delicious! Ideal with coffee or tea! Here is the recipe:
Servings 16-18 cookies (depending on the size)
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C/Gas Mark 4. Combine the ingredients together until incorporated and smooth. Scoop (or roll 1-inch balls with hands) onto a Silpat lined or parchment baking sheet.
- Using a fork, press down in order to form crisscross pattern on top.
- Bake for 12 minutes. Remove and let cool on the tray for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling. Serve or store in an airtight container.
Note: For a less dense cookie, remove around 2 tablespoons from the peanut butter cup listed in the recipe.
