SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA — Police are actively searching for a 20-year-old woman described as “armed and dangerous” in connection with a fatal shooting that left a 19-year-old mother dead earlier this month in the city’s Carverdale neighborhood.
The San Bernardino Police Department confirmed that the deadly incident occurred on the evening of Sunday, February 1, in the 1600 block of West Concord Street.
What Authorities Confirmed
According to investigators, the suspect has been identified as Elvia Johnson, date of birth December 6, 2005. Police allege that Johnson fired a single gunshot following a physical altercation, resulting in the victim’s death.
Authorities have issued an active arrest warrant for Johnson. In a public bulletin, officials stated that she should be considered armed and dangerous. Law enforcement is urging residents not to approach her and to immediately contact police with any information regarding her whereabouts.

The victim was identified as Niliyah Montgomery, a 19-year-old single mother. Emergency responders rushed Montgomery to a nearby hospital following the shooting. Despite life-saving efforts, she later died from her injuries.
