ORLANDO, FLORIDA — A road rage encounter in Orlando escalated into a series of violent confrontations, leaving multiple people injured and a 37-year-old woman facing several serious charges.
Authorities identified the suspect as Mandolyn Shaffer-Brockwell, who is accused of turning a traffic dispute into a dangerous and chaotic incident involving a pregnant driver, an elderly bystander, and responding police officers.
What Led to the Road Rage Incident
According to reports, the situation began in February when Shaffer-Brockwell allegedly drove erratically, repeatedly stopping short distances in front of another vehicle.
The behavior reportedly frustrated the other driver, who honked and attempted to change lanes—actions that authorities say triggered the confrontation.
Alleged Attack on Pregnant Driver
Investigators say Shaffer-Brockwell stopped her vehicle in the middle of the street, exited her car, and jumped onto the hood of the other driver’s vehicle while shouting threats.
