OHIO — An 18-year-old woman’s night ended in jail after police say a domestic disturbance escalated into an alleged assault on a law enforcement officer.
Jade Cain, 18, was taken into custody following an incident at her boyfriend’s family home. Authorities responded after receiving reports of a disturbance at the residence.
Domestic Call Leads to Arrest Attempt
According to information provided by law enforcement, a woman believed to be the boyfriend’s mother told officers that Cain appeared to be intoxicated.
Officers attempted to place Cain into a patrol vehicle, but the situation quickly intensified. Police say she dropped to the ground during the arrest process.
Alleged Assault on Officer
Authorities allege that Cain later slapped an officer in the face after shouting that her shoe had come off. The confrontation resulted in additional charges. Cain is now facing charges of assaulting a peace officer and vandalism. Her bond has been set at $50,000.
