A 2-year-old goldendoodle left behind at Harry Reid International Airport earlier this month has now found a permanent home with the very officer who answered the call.
The dog, later nicknamed “Jet Blue,” was discovered tied to a ticketing counter after his owner allegedly abandoned him in order to board a departing flight.

According to authorities, the goldendoodle was found earlier this month at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. Investigators said the dog’s owner allegedly left him behind at the airport when she realized she did not have the proper paperwork required to fly with him.
Instead of making alternate arrangements, officials allege she tied the dog near a ticketing area and proceeded toward her departure gate.
Airport staff quickly reported the abandoned animal, prompting a response from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Owner Arrested After Alleged Abandonment
Police said the woman was later arrested on allegations connected to abandoning the dog. Authorities have not released further legal details but confirmed that the situation was treated seriously due to the animal’s welfare.
