Driver Quit Mid-Shift Yelling on Phone and Tossing Packages From Delivery Van
Police were called to a residential neighborhood in Flat Rock after reports came in of an Amazon driver yelling on the phone and tossing packages directly from her delivery van onto the street in what witnesses described as a dramatic mid-shift meltdown.
Investigators confirmed the driver quit during her shift and left the area, leaving numerous Amazon packages scattered across the roadway for any passing vehicle or pedestrian to potentially damage or take.
The abandoned packages represented orders belonging to residents of the neighborhood who had no idea their deliveries had been dumped in the street rather than delivered to their doors.
Flat Rock Officers Recover Scattered Packages and Complete the Deliveries Themselves
Rather than leaving the scattered packages unattended in the roadway, Flat Rock police officers Sgt. Beggs, Ofc. Porter, and Ofc. McCardle took it upon themselves to collect and secure all of the abandoned Amazon packages from the street.
The officers then went above and beyond their normal duties by personally delivering the recovered packages to the residents in the neighborhood who were waiting on their Amazon orders, ensuring no one lost their deliveries despite the driver’s abrupt and chaotic departure.
Photos shared by Metro Detroit News show officers loading and handling the recovered packages, with one Amazon box visible in the image carrying the ironic Amazon Prime slogan reading without you I am empty inside. Stay with GordonRamsayClub.com for the latest updates.
