Fans arriving early for tonight’s Game 1 tailgate at Lenovo Center will find hot conditions with temperatures sitting at 91 degrees and only a 30 percent chance of an isolated passing shower or storm during the pregame period.
The evening is expected to be mostly dry during tailgating with only an isolated storm possible, giving the vast majority of fans a warm but manageable outdoor experience before heading into the arena for the 8 PM puck drop.
Forecasters are describing the tailgate window as hot and mostly dry, making it the most weather-friendly portion of the entire Game 1 evening experience for fans gathering outside Lenovo Center.
Storm Chances Rising to 40 Percent at Puck Drop and 50 Percent by Second Intermission
As Game 1 gets underway at 8 PM ET, storm chances will increase to 40 percent at puck drop with temperatures dropping to 85 degrees, and continue climbing to 50 percent by the second intermission when temperatures fall further to 75 degrees.
The 50 percent storm chance holds through the final buzzer with temperatures reaching 72 degrees, meaning fans leaving Lenovo Center after tonight’s game face a meaningful chance of encountering showers or thunderstorms during their post-game departure.
Fans with outdoor plans following the game or those parked in outdoor lots are encouraged to have rain gear ready and monitor conditions as the storm chances remain elevated through the conclusion of Game 1 tonight.
